What is your shipping policy?

Standard: 3-5 business days via USPS

Customs duties are not included in our shipping rates; they are to be paid by the customer and are determined by the country in which the customer is ordering from.

Why do I have to pay taxes on my order?

Because Oh + August is domiciled in the state of Illinois, we are required to pay the state quarterly 8% tax from sales of merchandise to Illinois residents and 6.25% tax from sales of merchandise to US residents in states outside of Illinois.

I placed an order earlier today. Can I cancel it?

Orders typically go into processing and packing minutes after they are received. Once an order has begun processing, it cannot be cancelled. If you want to return the unopened items, please see the return policy below.

What is your return policy?

We are not able to offer returns or exchanges if products have been opened. All products now ship with tamper-evident packaging. If products are unopened and unused, exchanges for store credit are accepted within 10 days of purchase. Please contact us for an Authorization Number.

Do you offer any discount codes?

Sometimes we offer discount codes for our products. These are announced via the website, via our email newsletter, or on Instagram. Please note that we cannot apply discount codes to an order once it has already been submitted. You are welcome to use any discount codes on future orders.

Are your products cruelty free?

YES, absolutely! Our labs are based in the USA and are entirely cruelty free. The products are also paraben free and gluten free. Please view the details on each product for other types of ingredients we make sure are NOT included.

Are your products Vegan?

YES, all of our products are Vegan!

What is the shelf life of your products?

Unopened, our products have a shelf life of two years. Once opened, products have a shelf life of one year. However, like any skincare or cosmetic product, if you notice a change in smell, texture, or color, please discard the product.

Can I use your products even if my dermatologist says I should use something else?

You should always follow the advice of your medical professional. We are not liable for any damages that may result from not following your medical professional’s advice.

Are your products safe to use if I am pregnant or nursing?

We have several customers who are pregnant or nursing who continue to use our products and love the results. However, it is always safest to consult your medical professional before trying or continuing to use any beauty product if you are pregnant or nursing.

I use the Perfect 10 Oil Cleanser but prefer double cleansing. Can I double cleanse?

Absolutely. You can follow up use of the Perfect 10 Oil Cleanser with your preferred second cleanser of choice.

What is your founder’s personal skincare regimen?

Our founder LOVES skincare! Here is her personal routine:

Do you offer free samples to customers?

As a very small company, we generally do not offer free samples to customers. However, if you are a retailer interested in a brand partnership, we would be happy to send a sample kit to your buyers.

Are you currently accepting retail or subscription box inquiries?

YES to both! We have appeared in several subscription boxes, including: Cavali Club, NF.Edit, and Box 4 Equestrians. We will be appearing in two other clean/Vegan beauty boxes this summer. We are currently carried at a retail store in London, The Cherry Moon, and are looking to expand our retail presence.
